GETTING STARTED

How to apply for funding

Based on input from grantees, guidance by our board and advisory committees, and learnings from the last several years of grantmaking, we’re always working to refine and simplify our application process.

  1. Understand the grant opportunity
Review our Funding Areas to find the request for proposal (RFP) that aligns with your project’s mission and funding goals.
  2. Contact our staff to discuss your project proposal.
For many of our grant application processes we ask potential applicants to connect with our staff before moving forward with any application.
  3. Gather the required information
Each RFP will ask for supporting documentation. This may include financial reports, tax-exempt status, and a project budget.
  4. Draft your proposal
Follow the directions provided in the RFP and carefully review with key stakeholders on your team.
  5. Submit the application
Upload your proposal through the Oregon Community Foundation portal and double check that all supporting documents are attached.
  6. Confirm receipt
Follow up to ensure your application has been received by emailing one of our Program Officers at grants@graff.org
