Grantee Reporting

Sharing to learn, improve, and celebrate

To better support our grantees, learn from our grantmaking, and identify effective practices and challenges in achieving our foundation goals, we ask our grantees to share basic information about the planning and implementation of their grant funded work.

What do reports include?

Our grant report process gives us an opportunity to connect with and learn from each other. This includes an informal conversation to understand the progress of our grantees towards achieving their grant goals, how they’ve used the funds, and how we can further support their work. To ease the process, the questions we typically cover in our grant report conversations are included in the “Report and Storytelling Forms” below.

Reports may ask for:

  • Progress updates
  • Geography reached
  • Community impact
  • Challenges & outcomes
  • Project photos
  • Journey stories

Report Deadlines

When are reports due?
Grant report conversations for single year projects are generally due one year after the grant award date. For multi-year grants, progress reports are due approximately nine months from award date to ensure that renewal requests can be submitted to the board in a timely manner. Please check your award letter for deadlines.

How to Complete Reports

  1. Review the grant report and storytelling form that aligns with your grant before your program starts.
  2. Contact your Program Officer to schedule a time to complete a report or complete the form in writing by the due date on your award letter. Please note that we do not require financial reporting.

Report and Storytelling Forms and Questions

Most of our programs will use the General Reporting form, which grantees can use to prepare for verbal reports or written reports. But since Youth Leadership and Camp Maintenance have specific questions unique to those programs, their forms are slightly different. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance.
